Pixelbook Go Is Google’s Latest And More Affordable Pixelbook

In addition to announcing the Pixel 4 smartphones, Google’s event also saw the company announce a new Pixelbook laptop in the form of the Pixelbook Go, whose photos were actually leaked a few days ahead of the event. If the Pixelbook was a laptop you’ve had your eye on but felt it was a bit out of your price range, then Google might have your back with this model.

With the new Pixelbook Go, Google has opted to make the laptop a bit more affordable than the other models. The laptop is priced at $649, although it seems that Google had to make some sacrifices to make it more affordable. This means that Google decided to do away with the premium keyboard on the Pixelbook in favor of their new “Hush Keys”, which Google claims will make the laptop softer to type on.

Google is also boasting 12 hours of battery life on the Pixelbook Go, and it will also sport a new design where the underside of the laptop has a ribbed/ridged look, which according to Google will make it more easier to grip when you’re hold it. In terms of specs, there are several configurations that users can choose.

The base model, priced at $649, will come with an Intel Core m3 processor with 8GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a Full HD display. However, if you want the top-of-the-line model, that comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 4K display, although that will set you back $1,399. Pre-orders are now live if you want to get your hands on the device.
